What is life? What is living? I mean, what is truly living? Read More »
Ah, I literally have no idea what to write. I know that there are so many things that I could write about, but those ideas just haven’t hit me yet. So…I’m just going to rabble on in hopes of finding something meaningful to say, to follow my heart wherever God leads it.Read More »

Hey ya’ll! I’m starting a new series of posts on current issues in today’s world. Please feel free to let me know what you think!
Abortion has become a big issue for the United States of America since the late twentieth century. At least, for Christians it is an issue. For most other people, the killing of the fetus in the womb is a part of life. In this essay I hope to convey my stand point on this serious topic. I also hope to give a good reason why I take the view point I do. We must oppose this practice and stand up for what is morally right.
So what is my view on abortion? Well, I hope it would be pretty clear that as a Christian I would believe to be wrong. Abortion is murder. The fetus is alive from conception and is a human being. In the Bible there are references to human beings in the womb called children. God certainly must have believed that they were human, not fetuses. The Bible acknowledges that it’s life is worth just as much as an adult’s.
Now suppose two men are fighting, and in the process they accidentally strike a pregnant woman so she gives birth prematurely. If no further injury results, the man who struck the woman must pay the amount of compensation the woman’s husband demands and the judges approve. But if there is further injury, the punishment must match the injury: a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot, a burn for a burn, a wound for a wound, a bruise for a bruise.
It is murder to kill an innocent human being. One of the Ten Commandments says the we shouldn’t murder. Now we all are born into a world of sin. We’re all sinful and would be condemned to eternal life in Hell if not for Christ. Murder is murder whether it is an adult or an infant.
We as a nation are striving for peace, but there is a war within our very borders. Undeniably it is a war for life itself. Human beings are dying before they even get a chance to see life out of the womb. Life is precious, but we’re constantly destroying it. These children have a right, a right to live.
More than half the population in the U.S. believes abortion is wrong. But because of a few dissenters, now abortion is legal. We need to stand up against this legal right to murder. We need to support and finance the organizations that are opposing abortion. Let’s vote for and support legislation that protects the unborn. I’d rather face judgement by man man than judgement by God.
Abortion is wrong. That’s what I believe and I hope that is what you believe too. It is clearly murder of a human being and I’m sure we all know what God says about murder. Abortion is legal now, but I know that if we stand together we can change that. Isn’t that what the African Americans did to get full civil rights? Let’s oppose this. It is our obligation to God to do so.
Christmas. The time close to the end of the year that about half the world celebrates. Many of us go out and buy a Christmas tree maybe by cutting one down or buying one at a store (unless you have a fake one at home to put up). We usually will decorate that tree with lights and ornaments and much of the house in the same way. The adults go shopping for presents for their kids (if they have any), sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, parents, and all their relatives. They might buy for their friends too. We’ll listen to Christmas music in the time following up to December 25th and sometime after. We’ll make ton of Christmas cookies that probably aren’t the healthiest, but still so good. Hopefully most of us get to spend a lot of time with family and relatives. It is a time of peace and joy…and happiness.Read More »
Peace. Is that not what we all want? Peace from war. Peace from stress and anxiety. Not a single thing to worry about. No tragedies. No struggles. No hard times. No sadness. No sickness. No death. Well, that’s starting to sound like a utopia to me, don’t you think?
I know we can’t really stop wars, though we can be a good influence in the world and maybe it would happen less. Tragedies, slavery, starvation, natural disasters, and the like are always going to be here. We can make a difference in the world. But are any of these things ever truly going to stop? No, and that includes death. “So, are you telling us to just give up?” You might be asking. No, I am not. But I am saying some things just will never come true, at least, until Jesus returns.
Peace, inner peace, all of us can have. God, the creator of all the Heavens and the Earth, offers us peace. How do we get this peace?
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
God’s peace is beyond anything that we can even begin to comprehend. It can never be taken away from us. All we have to do is trust God with our lives, our struggles, our hopes, our dreams, and everything!
This is part of a song praising God.
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
I think this is one of the main reasons we have trouble being and staying at peace. We can’t keep our thoughts fixed on God. I know, it is hard. We get so caught up in our lives at times. Our worries and everything else get in the way what we should be spending time on.
Another reason could be fear. We want control over our own lives. If you pay attention to what the world is doing today, it seems we want control of everything. The desire for control, power is one of our greatest downfalls.
Now we need to let go. We have to have faith. Jesus has given us that chance for peace.
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
Because of what Jesus did on earth, when we have faith and trust in him our sins are wiped clean. We become righteous to God! That, is why we owe him everything, especially our lives. So we should be full of joy to be able to glorify Him through everything we do.
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
This peace is such precious gift (See what I did there?). Money and other material stuff can not bring you peace, only God can. God is the only one who can give you everlasting peace. No thing, no one, can do that.
We may not know where we are going or what is going to happen to us, but God does. We can rely on Him to lead us down the right path. He is good, and can’t do anything wrong or He wouldn’t be God.
So lets trust Him and receive that peace. Alright? It is such a relief to know that your life is not in your hands and in the much more capable hands of God.
In closing, here is one more verse. I wish it for all of you.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
